The markets, judged one by one

Crypto — leveraged: should a beginner start here?

The door where the venue can close your position for you, at the worst price, automatically.

Availability, before anything else

This market is not legally offered to retail clients in the United States or the United Kingdom. The checker stops at that gate for readers there and routes them to a legal door — we do not sell around a jurisdiction rule.

The computed numbers for this door

The base unit: the smallest leveraged position whose stop sits before the liquidation price, risks about $10 per trade — and the position can be closed for you, at the worst moment, by the liquidation engine.

Risk term: $10.00 × 100 = $1,000. Cost term: about $40 a month in trading costs at beginner frequency (20 trades), which needs $2,000 of capital to stay under 2% a month. Minimum viable capital: $2,000. Survival floor: $250 — below it, one normal trade risks more than 4% of the account.

Offshore venues advertise leverage of 50×, 100× and more to exactly the readers least able to survive it. Where that offer is not legally available to you, this checker says so instead of routing around it.

The trap in this door

The trap is liquidation arithmetic. A leveraged position does not wait for your stop: when equity hits the liquidation level, the venue closes you at market, in the move, and keeps the margin. Add funding payments every eight hours on perpetual contracts — a quiet cost that never appears in the deposit screenshot — and the cost stack at beginner frequency comes to about $40 a month before any result. This is the door the offshore marketing spends the most on promoting to beginners, which is information in itself.

The first honest step

Run the checker and read the availability gate seriously. If the door is legally open to you and your journal exists, demo the exact venue mechanics — funding, liquidation distance, partial fills — before a dollar does.
